Louis de Funès has had all of us laughing for more than 70 years !

His inspirations, his beginnings as musician in Parisian cabarets, his partners, his first parts in movies and his path to success: discover letters, pictures, awards, props and posters from all over the world on his career and his success.  For the man behind the actor, passionate of nature, simple and generous, dive into personal souvenirs and objects, as well as rare documents and testimonies.

Born in Courbevoie on 31st of July 1914, from Spanish parents, he discovered the Nantes region and the Loire river with Jeanne Barthélémy, then young girl from Clermont Castle and his future spouse. They met in Paris during the 2nd world war, he was then working as a musician in cabarets. From piano to theater, and then the movies, his rise was slow, but his unique skills conquered a worldwide audience. This is at Nantes hospital when Louis de Funès left us on 27th of January 1983 after a heart attack. Since then nothing has changed, he remains one of the most brilliant comic actors.
